Description
Mid 19th century, quite large measuring 16″ (40.5 cm) racked down, probably English, unsigned. The stage is fixed to the upright column, the eye tube threads onto the top limb. Focus is with rack and pinion which moves the inner column. It has a double sided 2 inch mirror (2.5″ including the cell) which has some deterioration to the centre. The bottom of the main column is fixed to a compass joint allowing the user to move the microscope anywhere within 180 degrees.
With various accessories as pictured. There is a split across the lid. The case 11″ x 8″ x 4″.
