Description
A Charles Kapp Puzzle globe, late nineteeth Century. the globe consists of 38 puzzle pieces forming a complete wooden sphere of 8 horizontal sections (diameter 20cm. when assembled), each section with a continent map on one side and a description of the continent on the other, engraved hand-coloured gores, French title and text, the south polar section mounted on wooden stand. It was designed as an instructive world globe for children, with horizontal wooden sections that fit together to form the complete Earth. The box becomes with the globe but all the parts doesn’t fit in the box.
Diameter 20 cm and 28 cm high.
