Description
A great collection of Italian large wooden geometric teaching models, designed to demonstrate the interpenetration and intersection of geometric solids in three-dimensional space. Crafted from solid hardwood and standing approximately 27-28 cm (ca. 11 inches) high, these imposing forms were produced as educational tools for the study of geometry, technical drawing, descriptive geometry, and spatial relationships.
Each model illustrates a different geometric problem through the physical intersection of prisms, wedges, pyramidal forms, and polyhedral volumes. By transforming abstract mathematical concepts into tangible objects, these models enabled students to visualize complex spatial constructions that would otherwise exist only on paper.
Originally intended for use in technical schools, engineering institutes, architectural training, or mathematics classrooms, such models are today sought after by collectors of scientific instruments, educational antiques, modernist design, and mathematical artifacts.
In very good condition, I can only notice some small chips consistent with their use and age
