Description

A nice English early 19th century, unsigned trepanning/Neuro surgical set. This set is contained in its original (29 x 20 x 5 cm) mahogany case  and lined in red velvet with brass hines. Present is a complete trepanation set of polished steel tools with turned handles of beautifully grained tropical hardwood. Included are a drill;  two cutting trephines of different diameters, each with central pin and mounted with large boldly shaped handles; two arrowhead perforator; wood handled brush; elevator raspatory; two lenticulars. All is original to the set.
