Description
A 19th century eight draw telescope, signed on the first draw, ‘Chadburn Bros’, Sheffield’. They worked from 1837 – 1884.
It has a main lens of 40 mm diameter and measures 14 cm when closed and 72 cm (29″) when fully open.
It has a leather barrel, lens cap and eye piece dust slider and is contained in a card case.
The telescope gives a good sharp image when viewed through and is damage free.
Chadburn Brothers had a Royal Appointment to Prince Albert.
