Description

A very clean example of an Everest pattern theodolite (No 125) by Troughton & Simms, London, with a 5 inch horizontal plate, silver scales and verniers with magnifiers, 10 inch telescope with 2 eye-pieces: the long one gives an erect view and the 90 degree ‘elbow’ eye-piece giving an inverted image. The case has had some repairs to the lid.
