Description

Fine, small format pocket sundial/Diptych dial with  colorized sundial and latitudes, compass under yellowing glass (cardinal point for west is O), original string gnomen set for between 50 and 51 degrees (London). Paper on back depicting all major cities in Europe and in perfect (rarely used) condition. One or two stains but nothing that detracts. Original hooks to lock dial and for the fruit wood case. A fine, unsigned (as far as I can tell) example of this popular and useful traveler’s compendium.
