Description

A selection of signed-19th-century trepanning instruments, all but one by American makers. The elevator/rasp by Evans is probably the oldest of the six,  dating from the first half of the 19th century; the rest, all American,  date from the second half. They are combinations of lenticulars, elevators and rasps.
