Description

Standing 10 inches (25 cm.) tall-not including the additional box height of 3 inches, this portable Cary/Gould, simple and compound microscope is outstanding. Extensive accessories and a flame mahogany case measuring 8 x 6 x 3 inches tall (shrinkage crack to lid seems stable). Lock but no key. Forceps appear to be French ? Complete. Signed “Dollond, London”. 5 stacking objectives (bead #1 missing), 4 Lieberkuhned/darkened objectives (one high power), 2 sliders, live box, stage forceps, stage bullseye, fine mirror. Inclining. Perfect rack and pinion. Good optics for the day. c.1820. B/W ivory disk missing.
