Description
Quite large, measuring 17 x 8 cm, having two folding sights, two intact bubble levels, and a 5 cm compass with locking bar. With engraved scale to the brass hinge from 0 – 90. The instrument is signed, ‘Davis & Son, Derby’ and also, ‘J. Williams’ (the owner).
The case (20 x 10 cm) has the lid detached. The lid would have been attached with black felt time (now perished).Circa 1890.
