GOOD CRISP SCALE DIVIDED IN 20 MINUTE DIVISIONS, VERNIER READING TO 1 MINUTE OF ARC. INDEX ARM 40 CM. LONG. RADIUS 34 CM. FORE & BACK SIGHTS, PUSH IN FILTERS, TWO SMALL REPAIRS TO EBONY FRAME. OAK STEPPED KEYSTONE BOX, THIS OCTANT IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION & A GOOD SIZE, LATE EIGHTEENTH CENTURY, BOX WITH OCTANT WEIGHS JUST OVER 3 KILOS, PLEASE NOTE THE FOULED ANCHOR MARK ON THE MAIN SCALE WITH NO INITIAL, PROBABLY DIVIDED ON TROUGHTONS DIVIDING ENGINE.
