Description

Exceptional hourglass with black, red and gold decoration known as “Abbé Nollet”.

Floral decorations on the bases and around the edges (inside and outside).

Fretwork openings revealing a flask with two bubble glasses.

Beige silica sand and joint in fabric and rope.

Note: The “Abbé Nollet” decoration is an 18th-century style inspired by the work of Jean-Antoine Nollet (1700-1770), a French abbot and physicist known for his physics experiments, which contributed to the development and promotion of sciences during the Age of Enlightenment.

Dimensions: height of 19 cm and diameter of 8 cm.
