Offered for sale;
Western European mid 19th century wrought/cast iron miners oil lamp, known as a lenticular, stirrup, tunnel or rooster lamp.
In good original condition, the screw cap in the shape of a rooster provides access to the oil reservoir.
The frame pivots are seized otherwise all in excellent condition.
Height 6, 3/4″ or 175mm, weight 529 grams.
