Description

 Octagonal brass equatorial sundial, made by Johann Schrettegger (1764-1843), Augsburg, Germany, late 18 century
Needle gnomon from the center of the circle calibrated in numbers to represent hours for the northern hemisphere. Circle hinged to octagonal base. Quadrant scale calibrated in degrees from vertical to horizontal with Arabic numerals. Top engraved Compass with original needle and glass.
size 5 cm wide
