Description

Two monoculars:

An early 20th century 4.5″ long prismatic monocular, signed ‘Ross, London, No 24868’. On the bottom shoulder is a military arrow, ‘1908. No4365’. It has a twist focus which works from a spiral groove inside the eye piece . In good condition giving a good clear image when viewing. Magnification 8.5 x.

The other signed ‘C.P. Goerz, Berlin’ with engraved foliate scrolls around the signature. Focussing is with lever rack and pinion. Overall length is 82 mm. It has an aluminium body with leather covering. The specification is 6 x 20 and gives a clear sharp image when viewing. The owners initials are engraved  on the front plate, ‘T.H.L.’
