Description

An early 19th century single draw, two power eye-piece spyglass. The eye-piece has a small lever with markings ‘1 and 2’ which changes the magnification approximately 4 x to 6 x power.

It gives a clear image but limited field of view ( not much different to a small set of opera glasses).

Opened, it measures 5″ (13 cms) and 3.5″ (9 cms) when closed with  an achromat lens of 1″ diameter.

It has a screw-on lens cap.
