Description

Signed on the first draw, ‘Mrs Janet Taylor, 104 Minories, London’, measuring 15 inches ( 38 cm ) fully drawn and 5.5 inches ( 14 cm ) when closed with a triple element lens of 1″ ( 25 mm ) giving a fine sharp image when viewed through. The magnification is approximately 20 x. With end cap and slider to the eye-piece, it comes in a fitted mahogany case with trade label to the inside lid.

Damage free and working perfectly.

Janet Taylor was regarded by the East India Company, Trinity House and the Admiralty. She founded the ‘George Taylor Nautical Academy’ and taught navigation to officers in the Merchant Navy, over-coming much discrimination.
