Description

A very nice three draw brass telescope, the first draw is engraved, ‘W. Harris & Co. 50 Holborn, London & at Hamburg ‘.

Measuring 9.25″ long when closed and 28.5″ fully open with a main lens of 1.5″ diameter.

It gives good, clear images when viewed through. 

No chips / cracks. Tiny knock to the eye-piece flange (nothing serious, hardly noticeable).

The barrel has its original black & gold enamel decoration to it.

William Harris & Co were in business from 1813 – 1839 and were in partnership with W. Campbell at Hamburg.
