Description

Three early 19th-century dental elevators with ebony handles. From left: A goat’s foot or pied de biche elevator ($95) , a rare pediatric elevator ($125) and carp’s tongue or lange de carpe  elevator ($75.00). The pediatric elevator is only 8.5 centimeters in height including handle; by comparison the goat’s foot is 13.5 cm. All likely Continental in origin and c1820 in date.
