Description

A complete trepanning set in case by Bonneels à Bruxelles of circa 1840. The case is made of leather and wood with a blue velvet interior and can be locked with its original key. The set contains 16 pieces, including one trephine with ebony ferrule and turned ebony knob, one small puller, one key to adjust the trephine axis, one ebony bone splinter brush with boar bristles, five polished steel interchangeable trephine heads, two metal elevators, four lenticular knives with faceted ebony handles. All the instruments are carefully made and decorated of polished steel.
