Description
A unusual set of four drug jars in a marbelized-card case. Dimensions closed: 8″ x 4″ x 2.5″. This was bought from a source in Germany. Can’t make sense of he Latin label. The bottles are typical of drug jars produced in Europe during the mddle of the last century. The tin cup that sit over each bottle is not a stopper but rather a measure. Each of the four bottles orginally had a cork that has long since perished. Both the case and bottles show a bit of wear but overall they are in excellent condition for their age. The bottles have no cracks or chips. A colleague speculated that this set might have been from a larger pharmaceutical case, but the liitle plinth on the bottom of the case suggests otherwise.
