Description
English boxed coin balance, the wooden (mahogany or similar) dug out serpentine shaped box with printed label inside the lid showing acceptable weight for guinea, half and quarter 1771 72
The lid with inlaid brass cartouche engraved with owners initials I+B, brass wire hinges and turn hook catch.
Well finished steel beam with brass pans, one silk cord frayed.
Two brass weights, 5;8 and 2;16
All in very good sound condition, noting old repairs to the front lid and base.
