Description

A brass 6 draw telescope with dark maroon and black baleen covered barrel, signed on the first draw, ‘ P. Frith, London’, with lens cap and eye piece dust slider. The objective measures 22 mm in diameter. The telescope measures just over 4″ (10.5 cms) closed and 18″ (46 cms) fully extended.

The case holds a brass clamp which tilts on a compass joint over a short column. The column unscrews to reveal a thick screw which can be used for fence / post fixing. Also with an additional high powered eye piece.

The telescope is in excellent condition and is damage free.

Peter Frith worked from 1829 – 37 from 8 Cursitor St, Chancery Lane and 50 Hatton Gardens.

Contained in a small plush lined, padded case (12 cms x 7 cms) with two fastening hooks.

Very nice condition throughout.
