Description
An unusual drawing or mathematical set by “Carochez in Paris” datable circa 1800 or very early 19th century with the old French inches and new metry system.
The mahogany case included three instrument signed by Carochez : the half-circle protractor, the French sector and the rule/squarre forming level.
Furthermore, the set includes also a three-legged dividers, a proportionnal dividers, three different pairs of dividers of different sizes and an unusual small dividers with a screw. Several points for different uses are also included (some are replacements).
Everything is finely stored in mahogany case lined in a green silk and velvet.
Some lacks and some replacements but a rare signature and a rare set including a three legs dividers.
Case : 27x17x5cm.
The lid is a little bent.
