Description
The telescope pulls out to a length of 44 inches ( 112 cm ) and measures 7.5 inches ( 19 cm ) when closed. The mahogany barrel has a diameter of just over 2 ” with the main lens having a clear aperture of 2 inches.
The eye piece is engraved, ‘Caiffier, Paris’ and the first draw is engraved, ‘Presnted to H.R. SPEED by J.C. SMITH’.
It has a pancratic eye piece and has a magnification of between 28 – 48 x.
There are no dents / cracks / chips and the telescope gives an excellent clear view.
It comes in an associated fitted mahogany case.
