SOLD – This telescope measures 52.25 inches (133 cms ) with the single draw tube closed.

The tapered wooden barrel is free of cracks or splits.

It has a main lens of 2.75 ” ( 9.5 cms) and has a magnification of around 35 x.

The rear collar in engraved, ‘DOLLOND, LONDON’, and the draw, ‘Day or Night’.

With lens cap and dust cover to the eye-piece. The telescope is damage free and gives excellent, clear views.

This telescope is not too heavy but is rather cumbersome to be personally held by the user for any length of time. It was probably used for whaling and used on board a ship supported by a harness or possibly a tripod.
