Description

A beautiful and exceptionally well-equipped Victorian microscope, manufactured in London in the late 19th century by the renowned maker Charles Baker (1814–1893). It is in perfect condition, housed in its original mahogany case and retaining a spectacular finish. All mechanisms operate flawlessly; the set includes two period-correct objective lenses and one eyepiece, as well as a light regulator for placement beneath the stage and an objective-changing turret. It bears the serial number 5440 and is the model known as “The Model.”
