A fine microscope manufactured in London in 1882 by the Beck brothers; it is in good working condition. It bears the serial number 11780, dating its manufacture to 1882.

It is equipped with three objectives from the same manufacturer, a “top-hat” style eyepiece, a paraboloid condenser (which has a slight side dent that does not affect its operation), and a revolving nosepiece. Beneath the stage—where the black glass insert is not original—there is a comprehensive light adjustment mechanism featuring micrometric controls, marking this as a high-quality instrument. The case is well-preserved.
