Description

A fine 1 3/4 inch diameter, three draw telescope by Dollond c. 1840. Wonderful script signature “Dollond, London” on the first draw, early machining of all three draws, green flint/crown doublet object lens, clear optics, 10-20X magnification, object and ocular lens covers, tan leather body covering with intact stitching. Has seen little use (minor oxidation but nice and tight) and no dents to the draws or barrel. Leather military/naval style carrying sleeve has lost it’s strap. 10 inches closed, 30 inches fully extended.
