Description

SOLD – A substantial 5 draw brass telescope measuring 43.5″ fully open and 10″ closed with a main lens aperture of 2″.

The barrel has a light mahogany finish to it. There are some nicks to the wood and there is a hairline crack. All screws to the collars are present; complete with lens cap and slider to the eye-piece. Some light ‘dimples’ to the brass tubes which work fine, the telescope giving an excellent clear view.

There is a small knock to the outside of the brass cell of the main lens but there is no damage to the lens. All internal lenses are clear and damage free.

The telescope is signed, ‘J. Ramsden, London’, quite rare to find any instrument by Ramsden with his initial ‘J’ prefixing the surname.
