Description
Trader’s boxed pocket balance and carat weights for diamonds and precious stones, circa 1900.
Fine nickel beam balance, pans, square weights and tweezers /scoop.
Smart solid mahogany ‘dug out’ fitted box with blued steel screwed nickel hinges and push button clasp.
The set has 7 larger weights and 11 small sheet metal weights all contained in a lidded compartment to the box.
The box is well made with a brass sprung button lock to the front.
All in very good sound condition, with no damage or repair, typical pocket surface marks on box lid.
