Description

Eye Coordination Training, American, c. 1937, by the Keystone View Co., Meadville, Penn. The handheld stereoscope itself is constructed of wood and metal, colored green with black trim, and has card carrier sliding along a distance scale. The set is complete with the original 12 stereograms mounted with silver photographic prints, the instruction manual, and the cardboard box. Condition is near mint throughout. The stereograms range progressively in difficulty of eye task, each explained in detail on the reverse. The outfit, “Sold Only on Prescription,” is designed to “smooth and ease the co-ordinating action of two eyes and bring relief to many whose difficulties arise from inability to read, sew, or work comfortably.”
