Victorian silver gilt dental mirror hallmarked London 1890, makers mark FP for Frederic Purnell
In very good condition retaining most of the original gold surface, the handle inscribed with a monogram of three intertwined C’s
Magnifying concave mirror with slight scratches to the center.
Length 4,1/2″ or 115mm
Mirrors of this type, folding or fixed, are found in most good dressing / vanity /shaving sets, although sighted by most vendors as dental mirrors, I think this form was for viewing ones own eye, which it does markedly well, large and close up.
