Description
Mid-18th century unsigned Wilson type brass screw barrel microscope with handle. The stage with mounted condensing lens is hold against the large screw by a spiral brass spring. One objective that provides clear and sharped images. Some accesories including a brass slider, micrometer bone slides and tweezers. Also includes a damaged ivory jar with brass rings. The set comes in an early shagreen wooden case lined with blue velvet inside.
