A French pewter leech carrier, (Pot Sangsues), probably1786. The doctors used this carrier by the patient rounds. The lid is perforated so as to allow the leeches to breathe. An Hallmark on the bottom gives: Crown with inside the 86 – two leaves and  I-B and below the crown a flower with 6 petals. Date end 18th C.In good condition, diameter 11 cm and 13 cm high. Horizontal brass wire-axis sundial with bracket. The plate rests on four screws and supports, mounted on a hinge, a bracket and its weight to adjust the horizontality.
