A good French nickel plated brass pocket compendium consisting of an aneroid barometer, thermometer with in the middle a compass.  Thermometer is in Centigrade and the needle of the compas can block. Faux tortoise Auricles with Headband

An pair of faux tortoise shell celluloid auricles mounted on afaux tortoise headband.  The auricles are marked and made from early thick celluloid with multiple joints and seams. We are offering three cased opthalmodyamometers ( aka tonometers) that were used for measuring ocular pressure to screen for glaucoma.  On the left in the first image is a Baillart Tonometer, with a stop, in its original case, which was introduced in France in  1923. C1890 Lithographed Tin Sign for Electro-Galvanic Collar

A fine and rare  lithographed tin sign advertising  “COLLIER WIATKA”, a pediatric,  Electro-Galvanic collar ()  for treating various respiratory maladies (e.g., croup) and convulsions.  Googling  it reveals  discussion and advertisements in various journals from 1871 through the 1880s, but it was still being sold at the very beginning of the 20th century. All the original instruments ( except some forceps) are present in two drawers, including a fine amputation saw with extra blade, Note the placement of the opposing amputation knives, typical of French surgery kits. An early terrestrial globe of J. Lebeque & Cie on an Iron base. The Diameter of the globe is 7 inch approximately 18 cm and is signed by: J.Lebegue & Cie Paris. Circa 1855. Rachitome by Charriere 19th Century

A Rachitome by Charriere C1860 was mainly a post mortem instrument. The single rachitome was used to cut through the lamina of the spine. The double rachitome was used to cut sections through the cord. The width of the sections could be varied with the screw and nut mechanism.
