Description

High quality French tortoiseshell cased polished steel small folding surgical instruments, Paris, mid 19th century made by Lüer.

Nine instruments, bistouries, scalpels, lancets, hooks etc, all signed Lüer

Lengths closed from 3,1/8″ to 4-1/4″ or 78mm to 109mm 

Ingenious sliding and pivoting mechanisms some giving the initial lifting of the blade out of the case, locking the blades open or closed.

All in very good condition minimal darkening on some blades.
