Description

Two 19th-century tooth keys. On the right, a dog-leg ( aka: cranked) tooth key with checkered ebony handle and two positions for mounting the claw. Probably English. $295.00. On the left a tooth key with turned wooden handle (walnut?), “the claw fixed to a swivel with rotates in the bolster, the claw is held in position by a spring catch”.* Note the attractive original decoration along the shank of the clutch–see last image. Probably English. $395.00. Booth tooth key are in very good condition.
